Thomas Kenealy

DIAMOND—Thomas Ryan Kenealy, 18, of Diamond, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018, in Champaign, IL.
Tommy was born March 10, 2000 in Hinsdale, IL to Edmund G. and Christine A. (nee Soukup) Kenealy. His family later moved to Diamond and he graduated with high honors from Coal City High School, class of 2017. Tommy was an offensive lineman for Coal City Coalers Football. He was currently attending the University of Illinois College Of Engineering in Champaign. He had a very positive attitude and was well loved. He was especially close to his brothers and cousins. Tommy was a lover of his pets, especially Boo Kitty and his dog, Cody.
He is survived by his parents, Edmund and Christine Kenealy; his brothers, Edmund W. Kenealy II and James R. Kenealy; his grandmother, Jane R. Soukup, all of Diamond; aunts and uncles: Daniel (Susan) Kenealy, Robert (Kathleen) Kenealy, Jeremiah (Mary) Kenealy, Anna (Murdo) MacKenzie and Susan Dunklau and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Edmund W. and Anna T. Kenealy and his maternal grandfather, Robert J. Soukup.
Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ferrari Funeral Chapel, 1044 Ferrari Dr., Coal City. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 7 p.m. with Pastor Caleb Counterman officiating.  
Cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral service.
