Christine M. Slivka

BRAIDWOOD—Christine M. Slivka (nee Watton), 67, of Braidwood, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away Sunday, Nov., 11, 2018 at Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet.
Born Oct. 21, 1951 in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth (nee Ritmier) Watton. She was a member of the Ignite Christian Church in Braidwood and she always enjoyed worshipping the Lord Jesus. Christine had many hobbies such as baking, cooking and crafting, but her true passion was volunteering.  She volunteered for many organizations but most importantly feeding people in need through St. Vincent's Table.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved everyone.  She was the definition of pure love.  
Surviving are her husband, of 27 years, William Slivka, of Braidwood; two children, Jennifer (John) Costa, of Braidwood and George (Joy) Schwalm, of Troutman, NC; four grandchildren: Adam and Abrianna Costa and George “Geo” and Liam Schwalm; three sisters: Linda Wilson, Judy Fair and Maryann Pashel; two brothers, Joe and Bob Watton and numerous nieces and nephews.  
Preceding her in death were her parents and one sister, Betty Watton.  
Visitation will be at the R.W. Patterson Funeral Home & Crematory, 401 E. Main St.,Braidwood on Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. with Pastor John Costa officiating. Cremation rites will be accorded after services.              Memorial donations in her name to the Ignite Christian Church: 1180 W.
