On Thursday, the Reed-Custer wrestling team came up big with wins over Wilmington and Lisle during their first Illinois Central Eight Quad of the season.
The wrestling Comets (7-2) raced out of the starting gate against Lisle, recording five pins, three forfeits, a Jeremiah Kirby decision and a Landon Markle major decision en route to a 61-24 victory.
They powered through Wilmington 58-18 in their final match of the day with four pins, four forfeits, and a James Helsing major decision.
